Chattanooga Sea Life

On Sunday morning we woke up, hopped in the car, and two hours later arrived in Chattanooga. I've lived in Tennessee for 4 years and I've never had a chance to visit the city. I've always wanted to go and the long weekend gave us the perfect opportunity. The major reason for our trip was to visit the Tennessee Aquarium. I was skeptical on what type of sea life a land locked state would have- but I was more than pleasantly surprised- I was totally blown away! The aquarium is laid out nicely, keeping you moving on a path with very few bottlenecks. Plus, they had some amazing creatures (including Otters, my favorite).

Please enjoy this very photo-heavy post!
Orchids are pretty
I pet a sting ray!
Sting Rays are soft and clearly make me giggle.
If you look carefully, that little thing on my lap is a butterfly!

They have real penguins, but its really hard to pose with those guys.
Special Jellyfish exhibit

Coral Reef  + SHARK!

I volunteered and got to put a snake in the bag!
These pretty guys are called Weedy Seadragons
Otters!
Sexy Otters!
This turtle was standing on his legs, staring us down.
Can't visit a place without a little gift shop fun
I like my new hat!

  3. Otters are my favorite, too! I'll never forget - we went to the Aquarium in Vancouver [BC] and they had the best otter pair. First, they were named Milo and Otis [squee!]. And they were sleeping in the water, holding PAWS! [double squee!!]. Great pictures, as always. Looks like y'all had a great trip!
