Iron Fork 2013


If you are like me, you love a good cooking competition. I'm a long time fan of Top Chef and I always get sucked into watching Iron Chef, Chopped and whatever Gordon Ramsay happens to be doing at the moment. I dream of being a judge! How great would it be to tell someone that they over-salted your prawns or that no one ever wins with risotto. NO ONE EVER WINS WITH RISOTTO SO JUST STOP, OK?

Well lucky for me (and you!), Nashville has its own locally-focused cooking competition, the Iron Fork. Local chefs battle it out for the crown and you get to taste goodies from a plethora of other local restaurants. The chefs are fierce this year:

Kristin Beringson from Holland House
Jamie Watson from Café Fundamental
Kevin Ramquist from F. Scott's
Bart Pickens from Loveless Cafe
Jessica Benefield from Virago



Much like horse racing, can I place bets? I've eaten at all of these fine establishments (save for Virago, I know I know, something is wrong with me) and I can guarantee that attendees will be in for a treat.
The event itself is Wednesday, April 10th at Rocketown from 6-10pm. You can pick up your tickets here

  1. Oh wow. You had me at F. Scott's! I think this is the first time I've ever been tempted to go to Rocketown.

    1. I have never been to Rocketown! I've been staying away from it for many reasons- and also I don't like any of the bands that play there. But for food?! I'll be there.
