Last weekend Steve and I headed to the Farmer's Market to pick up some pumpkins for the season. Steve is a really big pumpkin carving fan. I haven't carved a pumpkin in many years, so when he found this out we HAD to get a pumpkin ASAP. The market was beautiful, filled with fall vegetables and tons of mums.
We ended up getting two large carving pumpkins, a bunch of small decorative ones and one large baking pumpkin. I cooked that pumpkin in order to make these Pumpkin Whoopie Pies. The recipe was fairly easy to follow and I think the result turned out pretty delicious. My only problem was making sure the cookies stayed about the same size circle. I made sure to use the ice cream scoop method mentioned in the recipe, but that didn't really work well for me. C'est la vie.
This was the first weekend that I was able to break out my favorite corduroy jacket. I purchased this jacket during college and I wear it all the time. I don't think I've updated the buttons in the last 5 years either. I'm getting old. This was also the first time I got to use the purse I got through my first Little Black Bag order. This bag is perfect! It fits my wallet, cellphone, glasses case, makeup and a small book with no problem.
Sweater: Modcloth
Jacket: H&M (from college)
Jeans: Old Navy
Purse: Nila Anthony from Little Black Bag
Shoes: Old Brown Boots
Oh my goodness, this outfit is amazing!!! I am on the hunt for a cute graphic sweater now...
