Twin Peaks Prom
There are few things in this world I like better than Twin Peaks. It's my favorite TV show of all time and I know that there are a lot of people out there who have been just as influenced by it as I have. When I heard that Boheme Collectif, a local Nashville art collective/gallery/venue, would be putting on a Twin Peaks-themed art show and prom I was so excited! The night was full of really creative TP inspired art. There was pie, doughnuts, "damn fine" coffee and a spiked punch called David Lynchburg Lemonade, as well as a black lodge photobooth. I went as the Log Lady and Steve came as my Log. We took 3rd place in the costume contest which was pretty good for a last minute idea! I met another wonderful log lady and I got to hang out with my friend Stephen who came as Dr. Jacoby. This needs to be a yearly thing, and I've heard that BC does indeed plan to make it such.

Oh my word this is amazing, I am so jealous! A Twin Peaks Prom sounds beyond wonderful! And these pictures are pretty darn priceless!
ReplyDeleteThanks Amanda! I love how they created the Black Lodge for the photo booth. That was super creative and fun!
DeleteCANNOT. GET OVER IT. So spot-on! And Steve as the log (complete with rings)...perfection! Hate that I missed this event, it looks like it was AWESOME. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you missed it too! I was totally expecting to see you and your gentleman there!
DeleteAhahahaha! I love Steve's log face and your poker face.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm even more bummed that Keith got a migraine that night... arrgh, we had tickets and everything!
Were there a lot of Audreys?
Oh wow! I didn't know Keith got sick. I'm so sorry! I missed you!
DeleteThere were maybe 3 Audreys- not a ton. There were a lot of dead Lauras wrapped in plastic. That seemed to be really popular!
So perfect! I might go as Log Lady next Halloween. I wish there was a TP prom near NYC! (or maybe there is... I should google it)
ReplyDeleteOh! Log Lady is always a classy Halloween costume- go for it! And let me know if there is a TP prom in NYC. I might have to come home for that :)
DeleteOMG I didn't realize Steve dressed as the log THIS IS THE BEST COUPLES COSTUME EVER
ReplyDeleteYah... we kind of thought of that Saturday morning over coffee :)
DeleteThat's amazing. We have already vowed to go to the next one. I want to be a piece of cherry pie or Laura Palmers graduation photo and Jamie said he wanted to be Dr. Jacoby already... We have a year to think about it...I guess. Also, Steve made a damn fine log.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Steve the sexiest log?
DeleteAnd yes- next year! Get working on your costumes now lady!
I love Twin Peaks!! You look awesome. And the log costume was so cool and creative!!

Thank you! I totally pulled the Log idea out of my ass the morning of.
DeleteI can't even tell you how amazing I think this is! I've been obsessed with the show since I watched it on VHS 15 years ago... I'm old. :) Your costumes are so awesome and I want to wear your sweater every day. Love this!
ReplyDeleteHoney, you are not old. I remember staying up late to watch it on TV! (TP and Northern Exposure were my absolute favorites). Although, I don't remember much of the plot from when I was little. I guess that's a good thing. That show is MESSED UP!
DeleteLisa, I wear that sweater pretty much twice a week :)
That is the most awesome thing EVER. And how hilarious is Steve?!
ReplyDeleteHe was a really good log! He stayed in character the whole night. When ever he wanted to say something he whispered in my ear and I said, "My log would like to tell you...."
DeleteHaha these are brilliant!! Your last post about twin peaks got me watching it again!
ReplyDeleteYay! What are you up to?!
