Great Smoky Mountains

Last weekend Steve and I took a little getaway to a small cabin near the Great Smoky Mountains. The scenery was beautiful, and lucky for me I brought along a talented photographer! Check out some of Steve's photos from our trip below and don't forget you can pick some of these up in his Society6 shop!

Society6: Steve Cross Photography

I'm going to take this moment and brag on my man for a bit. Steve is a very talented photographer who always takes beautiful photos. During our trip to Colorado, Steve was inspired by the landscape he had a chance to shoot. When he came home, he was determined to open up a shop where he can sell prints of his work. It's something he's been meaning to do for a while, and the beauty of Colorado inspired him to get it going. I'm so proud of him for opening up his Society6 shop! Please stop by and take a look at his work!

Holiday Portraits: The Best EVER

Yesterday I shared the pictures Steve and I snapped while we were waiting to shoot our friends holiday cards. See, our pictures are NOTHING compared to the ones that my sweet friends Lauren and Matt took. They always send out the best holiday cards, in which they dress in crazy tacky Christmas clothes. This year was no exception. They even brought along their sweet dog Charlie and put him in a tacky sweater. They basically look like something out of a Tim & Eric skit. Lauren is a fellow hula-hooper and a very talented hair stylist. I've been going to her for years and she is honestly the best. If you live in the Nashville area you should hit her up. Enjoy this awesome couple and their amazing tackiness!
This was the card that we got in the mail. Steve designed the text & frame and it became the most horrendously awesome thing ever. I love it!

Holiday Portraits

A few weekends ago Steve set up a mini portrait studio in his apartment and we took some holiday pictures of some of our favorite people. But of course, we tested the set up on ourselves first! Enjoy!

1 Year Anniversary Photos

Happy Wednesday, and thank you guys for your sweet words for Steve & I last week! We had a great time celebrating being together for one year. We love taking silly self portraits and this was the perfect opportunity. We did the same thing for our 6-month anniversary and I hope we continue this tradition going forward. Enjoy our narcissistic wackiness.

Happy Birthday Mr. Cross

Today is my lovely Steve's birthday. I am such a lucky girl to have found someone who is a great friend, amazing boyfriend, and all around nice guy.  Also, someone who does everything. Steve is an amazing photographer, entertaining drummer, part-time Weezer guitarist, home-brew enthusiast, DJ and science fetishist. I just want to wish a loud and proud happy birthday to my better-half.

Happy Birthday Bubs. I love you.

Land Between the Lakes -HDR

These are some fancy pants HDR pictures that Steve took during our camping trip to the Land Between the Lakes. At first I thought he was crazy carrying all his equipment and a tripod on a hike, but when I see how lovely the pictures came out, I understand. I will never question Steve's choice of equipment in the future. Dude knows what he is doing.

The "good" pictures from our NY trip- Part 2

These pictures were taking during our days on Long Island.  We went to Lido Beach for a lovely day on the Ocean.  We also took a driving tour of some of the fancy towns on the south shore.
